Money CAN Buy Happiness... Apparently
Sometimes there is a watch that ticks all the boxes for not a lot of money.
Alternatively, the old adage "you get what you pay for" still applies in the watch world. Luckily Casio has a strong history of making quality timepieces for a low price, and these watches can still take a beating.
So enters the Casio MQ-24 in it's several variations. From office workers and train conductors, to celebrity musicians and even the Pope, the Casio MQ-24 continues to be a go-to watch to rely on and not worry about. Set and forget! With "limited complications" (none) and a distinct minimalistic layout, this watch won't turn heads, but it will do it's job accurately in the background for it's user.
So, what makes the Casio MQ-24 worth buying and wearing as an everyday watch? Let's see!

My Own Experience with the Casio MQ-24-7B2
I have had this watch for about a year as of the writing of this blog post, and I have to say that I am impressed with it's simplicity and durability. I am also thinking of buying some more of the different model variations of this MQ24, since I own the one pictured above. I like the bigger numbers, though I do not struggle to see the numbers on the other white dialed version. Something about seeing what you need quickly and not squinting to calculate the time just makes me warm and fuzzy inside.
Anyway, this watch is very light on the wrist, so much so that you forget that you have it on. There is no loud audible ticking noise like a Timex Weekender, but if you hold the watch right up close against your ear, you will be able to hear it. Even then, it's not loud. It is actually a satisfying tick if I am being honest.
This watch usually can be found for around $10 online if you look on Amazon or Ebay, but I bought mine at Walmart for some instant gratification that people always talk about. I paid about $15 for doing that, but I regret nothing. To me, it is even worth Casio's asking price found in the link below the picture. (Click it, you know you want to...)
The simplicity, accuracy, weight, durability, and general style are hard to beat at this price point. For those with smaller sized wrists, this is the PERFECT everyday watch; harkening back to a time when watches were supposed to be smaller or even proportional to the wearer's wrist size.
The watch is by no means aesthetically "impressive" by any stretch of the imagination, but it is the quintessential tool watch for any type of professional. You may not turn heads, but you will always arrive on time, an that is more important. Casio did very well with this inexpensive little timepiece, and I think you would do well to pick one up for yourself!
Disclaimer of Credibility
I bought this watch with my own money and with no collaboration with Casio USA. I am not an influencer or compensated in any way to write this review. Buy whatever you want, doesn't effect me if you choose an inferior Timex watch to wear. You do you. I post reviews to aid in the buying process, show you something to consider and simply because I love watches.
